Tales from the Trade Show Booth

The Guidewire Connections trade show was an excellent opportunity to engage with industry leaders, user groups, carriers, and leading solution providers. Carriers showed interest in adopting Ivans Download™ technology, namely instant downloads and Ask Kodiak®, our commercial lines appetite and eligibility tool. Additionally, carriers I spoke with either migrated to the cloud or are in the process of doing so, leading to insightful conversations on processes, timelines, and costs in all phases of the P&C insurance lifecycle.

When speaking with Guidewire customers, many indicated that Ivans is paving the way for integrations, with one Chief Architect Evangelist noting, “Ivans is building things that we haven’t even figured out yet.” Overall, Guidewire customers and product experts felt confident that our partnership is well-positioned to support carriers and MGAs.

Ivans Guidewire Cloud Integration

I was excited to present how Guidewire carrier customers can facilitate a better and more profitable digital experience with their agencies and third-party partners. Agents choose carriers based on superior products, excellent customer service, and insurance technology that enhances digital connectivity.

The Ivans Data Exchange App for Guidewire Cloud PolicyCenter enables integration across all Ivans core products. This integration ensures accurate, real-time data exchange and reduces the need for staff and agent partners to enter data manually. Core products include Ask Kodiak, Ivans Distribution Platform, Ivans Download, and Ivans eServicing.

This partnership enables carriers and MGAs to leverage Ivans' industry-leading connectivity and data exchange solutions to increase automation and provide better experiences to their agency partners. This results in significant time and cost savings and improved client service.

Growing Our Partnership for the Future

We value our partnership with Guidewire and are excited about creating insurance technology that improves experiences for both agents and carriers. The potential for further integrating with policy administration systems, including Guidewire, is boundless. Here are a few areas I see us expanding on in the future:

• Small Commercial and E&S Quoting: We will use the Ivans Distribution Platform on Guidewire Marketplace to seamlessly transfer quote data into your Policy Center.

• Book Roll Integration: This integration will facilitate the smooth delivery of Ivans Bookroll™ data into the Policy Center, eliminating the need for quote information data entry.

• Document Exchange: We are building the capability to exchange documents bi-directionally. This will allow your agents to receive policy documentation instantly while enabling Ivans Distribution Platform partners to accept any forms associated with a quote.

• Mid/Large Market Digitization: By utilizing the Ivans Distribution Platform and Indio®, Ivans and Guidewire are uniquely positioned to begin digitizing risks in the mid and large market segments.

• Ask Kodiak Appetite Sync: We are creating an integration to streamline carrier appetite management between Ask Kodiak and Guidewire's Policy Center, eliminating the need for carriers to manage appetite in separate locations.

Ultimately, our participation at Guidewire Connections ’24 reaffirms the importance of innovation and partnership in the insurance industry. The feedback from carriers and industry leaders underscores the critical role that Ivans Download™ and our other technologies play in enhancing operational efficiency.
